Sue Crook, a retired elementary school teacher from Iowa, says what mentors everywhere say: I had always wanted to help others after I had been helped so much. This is the circle of mentorship. A person receives help and then has a desire to do the same for someone else. What most people don't realize is there is a desire to give back that is even greater than the desire to receive. Mentors understand this concept and derive great pleasure from seeing their mentees grow and thrive under their guidance. The saying Tis better to give than to receive is actually true!
