Ralph Morrison

Ralph Morrison is a mathematician specializing in the field of tropical geometry.  This is a young area of mathematics bringing together a disparate collection of mathematical topics, including polynomial equations, polyhedral geometry, and chip-firing games on graphs.  Ralph received a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Williams College, and completed his PhD in Mathematics at UC Berkeley.  After a postdoctoral appointment at KTH in Stockholm, Sweden, Ralph returned to Williams College as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics.  In addition to teaching a wide variety of classes, he works actively to mentor undergraduates, both throughout the school year and during the summer as part of Williams' SMALL REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) in mathematics.

We look forward to hearing from you.
